Prepare before withdrawal
Account Verification : Make sure your Kraken account has completed real-name authentication. In order to ensure transaction security, Kraken will require users to provide identification documents and other information for verification. Incomplete certification may result in the inability to withdraw money or limit the withdrawal amount.
Familiar with the rules : Understand the relevant rules on withdrawals on the Kraken platform, including but not limited to withdrawal fees, withdrawal limits, and withdrawal processing time for different assets. This information can be found on the Help Center of Kraken's official website or the relevant policy page.
Cryptocurrency Withdrawal Steps
Log in to your account : Open the official Kraken website or mobile application and enter your username and password to log in to your account. If two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled, you need to enter the dynamic verification code to complete the login.
Enter the Funds page : After logging in successfully, find "Funds" or similar options in the interface and click to enter. This is the entrance to manage the deposit and withdrawal of funds.
Select the withdrawal option : On the funds page, click the "Get Withdrawal" button, and the withdrawal-related settings will appear.
Select withdrawal currency : Kraken supports multiple cryptocurrency withdrawals. Select the specific cryptocurrency you want to withdraw from the drop-down menu, such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), etc.
Add withdrawal address : Enter the target wallet address you want to withdraw the cryptocurrency to. Be sure to check the address carefully, because once cryptocurrency transactions are confirmed, they cannot be withdrawn. If you have not added this address before, you need to add it first and pass the Kraken verification process, usually sending small amounts of test funds to the address or confirming it by email.
Enter the withdrawal amount : Enter the amount of cryptocurrency you plan to withdraw at the appropriate location. Note that the amount entered must comply with the minimum and maximum withdrawal limits specified by Kraken.
Confirm withdrawal : After checking that the withdrawal information is correct, click the "Confirm withdrawal" button. The system may again ask you to enter your password or perform secondary verification (such as SMS verification code, Google Authenticator verification code, etc.) to ensure safe operation. After verification is completed, the withdrawal request will be submitted to the Kraken platform for processing.
Franchise withdrawal steps
Login and enter the fund page : The first two steps of cryptocurrency withdrawal are consistent, log in to the Kraken account and enter the fund page.
Select fiat currency withdrawal : In the withdrawal option, select withdraw fiat currency (such as USD, Euro, etc.).
Choose a withdrawal method : The fiat currency withdrawal methods supported by Kraken may include bank transfers, etc. Choose the appropriate withdrawal method according to your own needs.
Add or select a bank account : If you withdraw money to the bank account for the first time, you need to add bank account information, including bank name, account number, account opening bank address, etc. You can directly select an account that has been added.
Enter the withdrawal amount : Determine the amount of fiat currency to be withdrawn and ensure that the amount is within the allowable withdrawal limit.
Confirm withdrawal : Carefully check the withdrawal information, including bank account information and withdrawal amount, etc., and submit the withdrawal request after confirming that it is correct. Franchise withdrawals may incur certain handling fees, and the specific fees will be displayed on the confirmation page. After submission, the withdrawal processing time varies according to the selected bank and region and may generally take 1-5 working days.
Things to note
Security First : Never disclose important information such as your Kraken account password, withdrawal address private key, etc. to anyone. Ensure the safety of the equipment and avoid withdrawal operations in public networks or unsafe environments.
Fee issue : Withdrawal fees vary according to the withdrawal method, amount and type of assets withdrawn. Be sure to understand the relevant expenses before withdrawing money and avoid accidental expenses.
Limit Management : Kraken has daily, weekly or monthly limits for withdrawals. If your withdrawal requirements exceed the limit, you can try to withdraw in stages or contact Kraken customer service to learn about ways to increase the limit (such as further improving account authentication, etc.).
Transaction Confirmation and Inquiry : After withdrawing, you can check the withdrawal status in the transaction history or withdrawal history of the Kraken platform. Cryptocurrency withdrawals need to wait for confirmation by the blockchain network, which may take a certain amount of time; fiat currency withdrawals need to wait for the bank to complete the processing process. If the withdrawal has not been received for a long time or there is an abnormality, contact Kraken customer service in time for help.
