How to Whitelist on Coinbase

1. Access the Whitelist Portal

  • Visit the Coinbase Whitelist Portal at https://coinbase.com/card/verification/preauth.
  • Log in to your Coinbase account using your email and password.

2. Provide Personal Information

  • Enter your full name, address, date of birth, and Social Security number.
  • Ensure that the information matches the details on your Coinbase account.

3. Upload Identification Documents

  • You will need to provide two forms of identification:

    • Government-issued photo ID: Driver's license, passport, or state ID card.
    • Proof of address: Utility bill, bank statement, or mortgage statement with your current address.

4. Submit Pre-authorization Request

  • Once you have uploaded your identification documents, click the "Submit" button.
  • Coinbase will pre-authorize a small amount of money on your card to verify your account. This amount will be returned to you immediately.

5. Finalize Whitelisting

  • After a successful pre-authorization, you will receive an email from Coinbase confirming your whitelisting status.
  • You can now use Coinbase Card for purchases and withdrawals without triggering additional identity verification.

Note:

  • Whitelisting may take up to 24 hours to complete.
  • Once whitelisted, your status will remain active as long as your Coinbase account is in good standing.
  • You may be required to re-whitelist your account if significant changes are made to your personal information or Coinbase account.
