How to find your UID on OKX? (Profile identification)
Your OKX UID is a permanent, numeric identifier (8–10 digits) found in Account Settings > Security > Account Information on web or Profile > Settings > Account & Security on mobile.

Finding Your UID on OKX via Desktop Web Interface
1. Log in to your OKX account using your registered email or phone number and password.
2. Click on your profile icon located in the top-right corner of the page, next to the notification bell.
3. Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu.
4. Navigate to the Security tab on the left-hand sidebar.
5. Scroll down to the section labeled Account Information, where your UID appears directly beneath your registered email address.
6. The UID is a numeric string, typically 8 to 10 digits long, and remains fixed for the lifetime of the account.
Locating UID Through the OKX Mobile Application
1. Open the OKX app and authenticate using biometrics or your passcode.
2. Tap the Profile tab at the bottom navigation bar.
3. Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner to access Settings.
4. Select Account & Security, then choose Account Information.
5. Your UID is displayed prominently under the heading User ID, accompanied by a copy button for quick sharing.
6. This identifier is not tied to KYC status and appears regardless of verification level.
UID Visibility in Transaction and Referral Contexts
1. When initiating a peer-to-peer transfer, the recipient field accepts either an email, phone, or UID — confirming its role as a core routing identifier.
2. In the Referral Center, your personal referral link contains your UID as a query parameter (e.g., ?ref=12345678).
3. Deposit addresses for certain blockchains include embedded UID metadata when generated through OKX’s internal wallet system.
4. API key management pages display UID alongside each active key, linking permissions to the authenticated user context.
5. Order history exports in CSV format include UID in the header row as a column labeled uid.
Differences Between UID, Account ID, and Sub-Account IDs
1. UID is immutable, globally unique across all OKX users, and serves as the primary identity anchor within the platform’s internal database.
2. Account ID refers to the alphanumeric string used in some legacy API endpoints and may differ across trading sub-accounts.
3. Each sub-account has its own distinct UID, separate from the main account, enabling independent tracking of funds and activity.
4. UID does not represent a blockchain address; it cannot receive crypto transfers directly unless paired with a deposit method.
5. Unlike email or phone, UID cannot be changed, reassigned, or reclaimed after account deletion.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I change my UID after account creation? A: No. UID is assigned permanently upon registration and cannot be modified under any circumstances.
Q: Is UID visible to other users when I trade on the OKX order book? A: No. UID is never exposed in public order book data, trade history, or market depth displays.
Q: Does UID appear on withdrawal transaction records sent to external blockchains? A: No. Blockchain transactions initiated from OKX do not embed UID in on-chain metadata or memo fields unless manually added by the user.
Q: What happens to my UID if I delete and recreate my OKX account? A: A new UID is generated. Previous UID becomes orphaned and inactive, with no linkage to the new account or assets.
