How to trade USDT on Kraken?
Transactions of USDT on Kraken requires registration, verification of identity, recharge of USDT, and select trading pairs through spot transactions, use market orders or limit orders to trade, and finally USDT can be withdrawn.
Mar 28, 2025 at 04:41 pm

1. Registration and Account Settings
Visit the Kraken official website : Open your browser and enter the Kraken official website (https://www.kraken.com/). Make sure you are visiting official and formal websites to prevent risks brought by phishing websites.
Register an account : Click the "Register" button on the page, fill in your email address, and set a strong password. Passwords should contain letters, numbers and special characters to enhance account security. When finished, click "Create Account".
Verification Email : Kraken will send a verification email to the email address you registered, open the email and click the verification link to activate your account.
Identity verification : In order to meet regulatory requirements and improve transaction permissions for your account, you need to perform identity verification. Find the "Verification" option in your account settings, follow the prompts to upload photos of your valid ID (such as passport, ID card, etc.), and fill in the relevant personal information. Kraken will review the submitted information, and the review time may vary by case.
2. Recharge USDT to Kraken account

Log in to your account : Log in to your Kraken account using your registered email and password.
Enter the Fund Management page : Click the "Funds" option above the page to enter the Fund Management interface.
Select USDT Recharge : On the Fund Management page, find the "Recharge" option, and then select "USDT" in the drop-down menu. Kraken supports USDT recharge for multiple blockchain networks, such as Ethereum (ERC-20), Tron (TRC-20), etc. You can choose according to the type of network you hold USDT.
Get the recharge address : After selecting the network type, Kraken will generate a corresponding USDT recharge address. Please be sure to carefully check the recharge address to ensure accuracy, because once blockchain transactions are confirmed, they will not be revoked.
3. Trading USDT on Kraken
Enter the trading interface : After logging in, click the "Trade" option at the top of the page and select "Spot Trading".
Select a trading pair : In the trading pair selection column of the trading interface, enter "USDT" to find the USDT trading pair you want to trade, such as "USDT/USD" or "USDT/BTC", etc.
Order Transaction : There are two common order types to choose from.
Market Price Order : When selecting a market price Order, the system will execute your transaction immediately at the best price in the current market. For example, if you want to buy USDT, the market order will be traded at the lowest selling price in the current market; if you want to sell USDT, the market order will be traded at the highest buying price in the current market.
Limit order : You can set a price you expect to buy or sell USDT. The order will only be executed when the market price reaches the price you set. For example, if you expect to buy USDT at a lower price, you can set a limit order lower than the current market price. When the market price falls to the price you set, the order will be automatically sold.
4. Extract USDT
Enter the fund management page : Same as recharge step, click the "Fund" option to enter the fund management interface.
Select USDT Extraction : Find the "Extraction" option and select "USDT" in the drop-down menu.
Fill in the extraction information : Enter the target wallet address you want to extract USDT, and carefully check the accuracy of the address again. Set the withdrawal amount, note that Kraken may have a minimum and maximum limit on the withdrawal amount, and a certain withdrawal fee will be charged. The handling fee standard can be viewed on the withdrawal page.
Confirm the extraction : After confirming that all information is correct, click the "Submit" button and follow the system prompts to complete the authentication (such as SMS verification code, Google verification code, etc.) to complete the USDT extraction operation.
