How to Set up Google Authenticator for Binance
Step 1: Create a Google Account
If you don't have a Google account, create one at gmail.com.
Step 2: Install Google Authenticator App
Download and install the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone from the App Store or Google Play.
Step 3: Enable 2FA on Binance
Log into your Binance account and navigate to the "Security" menu.
Step 4: Add Google Authenticator
Select "Enable 2FA" under "Google Authentication."
Step 5: Link Your Google Account
Scan the QR code displayed on Binance using the Google Authenticator app.
Step 6: Enter the Authentication Code
The Google Authenticator app will generate a 6-digit code that changes every 30 seconds. Enter this code in the "Verification Code" field on Binance.
Step 7: Verify Your Code
If the code is correct, you will see a message on Binance confirming that 2FA is now enabled.
Step 8: Backup Your 2FA Key
Binance provides a 16-digit backup key that you should store securely. If you lose your phone, you can use this key to restore your 2FA codes.
Step 9: Disable 2FA (Optional)
If you need to disable 2FA, navigate to the "Security" menu in your Binance account and click "Disable 2FA." You will need to enter your password and provide your Google Authenticator code to complete the process.
