How to Reset Fund Password in Gate.io

Step 1: Log in to Your Gate.io Account

Visit the Gate.io website and enter your username and password to sign in.

Step 2: Go to the "Account" Section

Hover your mouse over the "Account" tab in the top right corner of the page and click on "Password Settings."

Step 3: Select "Reset Fund Password"

Under the "Fund Password" section, click on the "Reset Fund Password" button.

Step 4: Verify Your Identity

You will need to verify your identity by providing the following information:

Security Code: Enter the 6-digit security code sent to the email address associated with your account.
ID Verification: Upload a photo of your government-issued ID (passport, driver's license, etc.).

Step 5: Set a New Fund Password

Once your identity is verified, you can create a new fund password. This password must be different from your login password and contain at least 8 characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers.

Step 6: Confirm Your Password

Re-enter the new fund password in the confirmation field to ensure it is correct.

Step 7: Save Changes

Click on the "Save" button to complete the process.

Additional Tips:

Keep your fund password secure and do not share it with anyone.
Store your recovery phrase securely in a safe place.
If you forget your fund password, you can use your recovery phrase to reset it.
Gate.io will never ask you for your fund password or recovery phrase via email or chat.
