How to Register on Binance Exchange
To register for a Binance account, users can choose between email or mobile number registration, verify their identity through KYC for enhanced security, and enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for added protection.
Jan 13, 2025 at 06:43 pm
- Choose a registration method: email or mobile number
- Verify your identity through KYC
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for enhanced security
- Access the Binance website at binance.com or download the Binance mobile app from the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).
- On the Binance website, click on "Register" in the top-right corner.
- Choose to register using an email address or a mobile number.
- For email registration, enter your email address and create a password. For mobile registration, enter your mobile number and tap on "Get Code."
- As part of Binance's compliance with global regulations, you must verify your identity to access the full range of services.
- Click on "Verify Now" and follow the steps to provide your personal information, such as your full name, address, and proof of identity (e.g., passport or ID card).
- 2FA adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring you to enter a verification code sent to your phone or email whenever you log in or perform certain sensitive actions.
- Go to "Security" in the account settings and enable 2FA using either Google Authenticator or SMS.
- Once you have completed the verification steps, Binance will review your application.
- Upon approval, you will receive a confirmation email or SMS.
- Log in to your Binance account and start trading.
- KYC stands for Know Your Customer. It is a regulatory requirement that Binance and other cryptocurrency exchanges must follow to prevent fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes.
- By verifying your identity, Binance ensures that you are a legitimate user and not using the platform for illegal activities.
Depending on your region and the level of verification required, you may need to provide one or more of the following documents:
- Passport or national ID card
- Driving license
- Proof of residence (e.g., utility bill, bank statement)
- KYC verification is mandatory for all Binance users. Skiping verification limits your account functionality and trading limits.
- To access the full range of services and enjoy higher withdrawal limits, completing KYC is necessary.
- 2FA is a security measure that requires you to enter a verification code sent to your phone or email when logging in or performing certain actions on your Binance account.
- It helps protect your account from unauthorized access, even if your password is compromised.
- Binance typically reviews KYC applications within a few minutes to 24 hours.
- However, during peak periods or due to high volume, it may take longer for your application to be processed.
