How to Link a Bank Account to Coinbase

Coinbase is one of the most popular cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. It allows users to buy, sell, and trade cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. In order to deposit or withdraw funds from Coinbase, you need to link a bank account to your account.

Step 1: Log in to Coinbase

To link a bank account to Coinbase, you must first log in to your account. You can do this by visiting the Coinbase website (www.coinbase.com) and entering your email address and password.

Step 2: Click on "Settings"

Once you are logged in to your Coinbase account, click on the "Settings" tab in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Step 3: Click on "Payment Methods"

On the "Settings" page, click on the "Payment Methods" tab. This will show you a list of the payment methods that you have linked to your Coinbase account.

Step 4: Click on "Add a Payment Method"

If you do not already have a bank account linked to your Coinbase account, click on the "Add a Payment Method" button.

Step 5: Select "Bank Account"

On the "Add a Payment Method" page, select the "Bank Account" option.

Step 6: Enter your bank account information

On the "Add a Bank Account" page, you will need to enter the following information:

  • Your bank's name
  • Your bank account number
  • Your bank routing number
  • Your account type (checking or savings)

Step 7: Click on "Add Bank Account"

Once you have entered your bank account information, click on the "Add Bank Account" button.

Step 8: Verify your bank account

In order to verify your bank account, Coinbase will send a small deposit to your account. This deposit will typically take 1-3 business days to appear.

Step 9: Enter the verification code

Once you have received the verification deposit, you will need to enter the verification code into the Coinbase website.

Step 10: Your bank account is now linked

Once you have entered the verification code, your bank account will be linked to your Coinbase account. You can now deposit or withdraw funds from Coinbase using your bank account.
