How to use the KuCoin Trading Bot app? (Mobile Automation)
To set up a KuCoin Trading Bot, download the official app (v4.0+), log in with 2FA, go to Trade → Bot, choose Grid/DCA/Infinity Bot, configure parameters like price range and investment, and enable auto-reinvest for compounding—no extra fees apply.

Setting Up the KuCoin Trading Bot App
1. Download the official KuCoin mobile application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Ensure the app version supports the Trading Bot feature, typically available in versions 4.0 and above.
2. Log in to your KuCoin account using two-factor authentication. The bot functionality requires full account verification to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with exchange security policies.
3. Navigate to the “Trade” tab, then tap the “Bot” icon located at the bottom navigation bar. This opens the Trading Bot dashboard where all active and historical bots are displayed.
4. Tap the “+” button to initiate a new bot configuration. Select the trading pair—such as BTC/USDT or ETH/USDT—from the list of supported spot pairs. Margin and futures bots are not available on the mobile interface at this time.
5. Choose the bot type: Grid Bot, Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) Bot, or Infinity Bot. Each has distinct parameters and operational logic; the Grid Bot is most commonly used for range-bound markets.
Configuring a Grid Bot on Mobile
1. After selecting Grid Bot, define the price range by entering upper and lower limits manually or by dragging sliders on the interactive chart. The app auto-calculates grid count based on volatility and selected interval.
2. Input the total investment amount in the base currency or quote currency. The system splits this amount across grids, allocating funds proportionally to each level.
3. Set the number of grids—ranging from 5 to 100—with higher counts increasing frequency of trades but reducing per-trade profit margins. KuCoin’s algorithm prevents overlapping orders within the same price band.
4. Enable or disable “Auto Reinvest Profits”. When activated, realized gains are automatically reinvested into subsequent grid purchases, compounding exposure without manual intervention.
5. Review the estimated annualized return, win rate, and drawdown metrics shown in real time. These figures are calculated using historical price data over the past 30 days for the selected pair.
Managing Active Bots Remotely
1. From the Bot dashboard, swipe left on any running bot to reveal quick-action buttons: “Pause”, “Stop”, or “Edit”. Pausing halts new order placements while preserving existing limit orders on the order book.
2. Tap on an active bot to view live performance metrics: total PnL, number of completed trades, average buy/sell price, and current grid position relative to market price.
3. Receive push notifications for key events: grid triggers, stop-loss activation, insufficient balance alerts, and bot termination due to maintenance or API restrictions.
4. Export trade history as a CSV file directly from the bot detail screen. This includes timestamps, executed prices, order IDs, fee deductions, and net proceeds per transaction.
5. Adjust grid parameters mid-operation only for non-critical fields—such as profit margin per grid or notification preferences. Price range and investment amount cannot be modified once the bot is live.
Security Protocols and Limitations
1. All bot operations require re-authentication via biometric scan or passcode every 24 hours. Session timeouts occur after 15 minutes of inactivity during bot configuration.
2. API keys generated for mobile bots have restricted permissions: they can place and cancel orders but cannot withdraw assets or modify account settings.
3. The mobile app does not support custom script deployment or third-party strategy integration. Only pre-built bot templates provided by KuCoin are accessible.
4. Grid Bots on mobile do not support trailing stop-loss or dynamic range adjustment based on moving averages. Range boundaries remain static until manually updated.
5. During exchange-wide maintenance windows, bots enter a suspended state and resume operation automatically once the matching engine is restored. No manual restart is required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I run multiple Grid Bots simultaneously on the same trading pair?Yes, KuCoin allows up to five concurrent Grid Bots per trading pair. Each must operate within non-overlapping price ranges to avoid conflicting order placement.
Q: Why does my DCA Bot show “Insufficient Balance” even though my wallet shows available USDT?The mobile bot interface checks for available balance in the Spot Wallet, not Futures or Margin accounts. Transfers between wallets must be completed manually before bot initialization.
Q: Do mobile bots incur additional fees beyond standard KuCoin trading fees? No. Grid and DCA Bots use the same taker/maker fee structure as manual trades. There is no subscription cost or bot-specific commission applied by KuCoin.
Q: Is it possible to copy a bot configuration from desktop to mobile? Not directly. Bot parameters must be re-entered manually on the mobile app. KuCoin does not synchronize bot templates across devices due to regulatory requirements for explicit user consent on each platform.
