How to join an OKX Trading Contest? (Event guide)
To join OKX’s 7-day trading contest, users need KYC Level 2, ≥5,000 USDT 30-day volume, and must not reside in restricted regions like the US or Japan.
Mar 18, 2026 at 01:00 pm
Eligibility Requirements
1. Users must have a verified OKX account with completed KYC Level 2 verification.
2. Participants need to maintain a minimum trading volume of 5,000 USDT in the previous 30 days on OKX spot or derivatives markets.
3. Residents of restricted jurisdictions—including the United States, Canada, Japan, and Singapore—are not permitted to join.
4. Accounts flagged for abnormal activity, such as wash trading or multi-account manipulation, will be disqualified automatically.
5. Each participant may register only one account per contest; duplicate entries trigger immediate exclusion without appeal.
Registration Process
1. Log in to your OKX account via web or mobile app during the official registration window.
2. Navigate to the “Events” section under the “Promotions” tab and locate the active Trading Contest banner.
3. Click “Join Now” and confirm acceptance of the full Terms & Conditions displayed on-screen.
4. A unique contest ID is assigned instantly upon successful registration—this ID must be retained for leaderboard tracking.
5. No deposit or entry fee is required; participation is free and open to all eligible users who complete the steps above.
Contest Mechanics
1. The competition runs for exactly 7 days, beginning at 00:00 UTC on the announced start date.
2. Eligible trades include spot, margin, futures, and options executed using USDT or BTC as base or quote currency.
3. Only net profit—not gross volume—is calculated for ranking purposes; losses are subtracted from gains before final score determination.
4. Real-time leaderboard updates occur every 5 minutes and reflect live PnL across all supported trading pairs.
5. All positions must be closed before the contest ends at 23:59:59 UTC; open positions at cutoff time are excluded from scoring.
Rewards Distribution
1. Top 100 traders receive USDT prizes based on final ranked position—no ties are broken by timestamp or trade count.
2. Prizes are distributed within 72 hours after contest conclusion to the user’s main wallet balance.
3. Winners can view their reward status in the “My Rewards” section under the Events dashboard.
4. Rewards are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for other tokens or fiat currencies through OKX systems.
5. Tax obligations related to prize receipt remain solely the responsibility of each winner according to local jurisdictional law.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. Can I use API keys to participate?Yes, API-traded orders count toward contest metrics if the API is linked to an eligible, registered account and complies with rate-limiting rules.
Q2. Do leveraged trades carry higher weight in scoring? No. Profit calculation treats all trade types equally—leverage level does not amplify point value or ranking influence.
Q3. What happens if my account gets suspended mid-contest?Disqualification occurs immediately. Any unrealized PnL from open positions is voided, and no partial rewards are issued.
Q4. Are arbitrage or triangular trades counted?Only standard market, limit, and stop-market orders placed on OKX order books qualify. Cross-exchange or off-platform arbitrage activity is excluded entirely.
