how to use google authenticator for bybit
To safeguard your Bybit account, enable 2FA by installing Google Authenticator, scanning the QR code, and verifying the 6-digit code to prevent unauthorized access.

- Download and install Google Authenticator from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Log in to your Bybit account and navigate to "Security Settings" under your profile.
- Click on the "Enable Two-Factor Authentication" button.
- Select "Google Authenticator" from the list of authenticator options.
- Open the Google Authenticator app and scan the QR code displayed on the Bybit screen.
- If the QR code is not scanning, enter the "Secret Key" provided by Bybit manually.
- Retrieve the 6-digit verification code from the Google Authenticator app.
- Enter the code in the "Verification Code" field on Bybit.
- For increased security, Bybit provides recovery codes that can be used to access your account if you lose your authenticator app.
- Click on the "Generate Recovery Codes" button and store these codes securely.
- Once 2FA is enabled, you will be prompted to enter the current 6-digit code from Google Authenticator when logging in to Bybit.
- Enter the code into the "Verification Code" field.
- If you lose your Google Authenticator app or device, you can recover your Bybit account using your recovery codes.
- Follow the recovery instructions and enter one of your recovery codes when prompted.
- Your account will be recovered and you can set up 2FA again.
