How to Use Google Authenticator for Bybit

1. Install Google Authenticator

  • Download and install Google Authenticator from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

2. Enable 2FA on Bybit

  • Log in to your Bybit account and navigate to "Security Settings" under your profile.
  • Click on the "Enable Two-Factor Authentication" button.
  • Select "Google Authenticator" from the list of authenticator options.

3. Scan QR Code

  • Open the Google Authenticator app and scan the QR code displayed on the Bybit screen.
  • If the QR code is not scanning, enter the "Secret Key" provided by Bybit manually.

4. Verify 6-Digit Code

  • Retrieve the 6-digit verification code from the Google Authenticator app.
  • Enter the code in the "Verification Code" field on Bybit.

5. Configure Recovery Codes (Optional)

  • For increased security, Bybit provides recovery codes that can be used to access your account if you lose your authenticator app.
  • Click on the "Generate Recovery Codes" button and store these codes securely.

Using Google Authenticator for Login

  • Once 2FA is enabled, you will be prompted to enter the current 6-digit code from Google Authenticator when logging in to Bybit.
  • Enter the code into the "Verification Code" field.

Recovering Your Account

  • If you lose your Google Authenticator app or device, you can recover your Bybit account using your recovery codes.
