How to deposit USDT on Coinbase?
To deposit USDT on Coinbase, you must first register and verify your identity, then obtain the USDT wallet address, transfer money from an external wallet to this address, pay attention to network security and handling fees.
Mar 28, 2025 at 05:20 pm

Preparation
Register a Coinbase account: Visit the official Coinbase website or download the Coinbase application, and follow the prompts to complete the registration process, including providing necessary personal information, setting a password and two-factor authentication to ensure the security of the account.
Complete identity authentication: Coinbase follows strict regulatory requirements and requires users to complete identity authentication. This usually includes uploading photos of your ID, providing proof of address, etc., to ensure that your account meets compliance standards for smooth transaction operations.
Get the USDT wallet address: In your Coinbase account, navigate to the Wallet page, find the USDT option, and click Generate or view your USDT wallet address. This address is a string of unique character codes similar to a bank account number and is used to receive USDT. Be sure to carefully check the accuracy of the address to avoid loss of funds due to address errors.
Specific steps to deposit USDT
Choose a deposit method: Coinbase supports a variety of deposits of USDT, common ones include transferring money from other cryptocurrency wallets, redeeming them to USDT after purchasing through bank transfer, etc. Here we take transferring money from an external wallet as an example.
Initiate a money transfer: Open the external wallet application or platform where you hold USDT and find the money transfer function. In the transfer page, fill in the USDT wallet address provided by Coinbase as the collection address and enter the USDT quantity you want to transfer. Note that different wallets may charge a certain transfer fee. Please check the relevant fee description before confirming the transfer.
Confirm the transfer: carefully check the transfer information, including the collection address, transfer amount, etc. After ensuring that it is correct, click Confirm the transfer. At this point, your wallet will initiate a transaction, sending USDT to the specified address in Coinbase. The transaction confirmation time may vary depending on network congestion, and generally takes several minutes to several hours. You can view the transaction status in your wallet. After the transaction confirmation is completed, Coinbase will automatically deposit USDT into your account.
Things to note
Cybersecurity: When performing any cryptocurrency trading operations, be sure to ensure the security of the equipment and network environment. Avoid operating on public networks or unsafe devices to prevent personal information and funds from being stolen.
Processing fee: Understand the handling fee situation of different deposit methods so as to reasonably plan transaction costs. Whether it is the wallet transfer fee or the transaction fees that Coinbase may charge, it may have an impact on your actual income.
Trading Risk: The cryptocurrency market is highly volatile and uncertain, and although USDT is a stablecoin, there are risks in the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem. Before depositing and trading USDT, please fully understand the risks and make decisions based on your own risk tolerance and investment goals.
