How to deposit USDT on Bybit? (Crypto transfer)

To deposit USDT on Bybit: log in, go to Assets > Deposit, select USDT and the correct network (e.g., TRC-20), copy the address or scan the QR code, then send from your external wallet—ensuring network and token match exactly.

Apr 05, 2026 at 03:00 am

Accessing the Deposit Interface

1. Log in to your Bybit account using valid credentials and two-factor authentication.

2. Navigate to the “Assets” section located in the top navigation bar.

3. Click on “Deposit” from the dropdown menu or directly from the Assets dashboard.

4. Select “USDT” from the list of supported cryptocurrencies.

5. Choose the blockchain network compatible with your sending wallet — options include TRC-20, ERC-20, BEP-20, and others.

Generating a Deposit Address

1. After selecting USDT and the desired network, Bybit displays a unique deposit address.

2. This address is specific to the selected network — sending USDT via TRC-20 to an ERC-20 address results in permanent loss.

3. A QR code is generated alongside the address for quick scanning if initiating from a mobile wallet.

4. Copy the address carefully or scan the QR code — avoid manual entry to prevent typographical errors.

5. Confirm the network label appears clearly next to the address to avoid cross-chain missteps.

Initiating the Transfer from External Wallet

1. Open the wallet holding your USDT — such as Trust Wallet, MetaMask, or Ledger Live.

2. Select “Send” or “Transfer” and paste the Bybit deposit address into the recipient field.

3. Ensure the token contract and network match exactly — for example, USDT on Polygon must use the Polygon-compatible address and gas token MATIC.

4. Enter the amount to deposit, keeping in mind minimum deposit thresholds and potential network fees.

5. Review all transaction details before confirming — once broadcast, the transfer cannot be reversed.

Monitoring Transaction Status

1. After submission, the transaction appears on a blockchain explorer corresponding to the chosen network — e.g., Etherscan for ERC-20, Tronscan for TRC-20.

2. Bybit requires a certain number of network confirmations before crediting the balance — TRC-20 typically needs 1 confirmation, while ERC-20 may require 12–20.

3. The “Deposit History” tab under Assets shows real-time status: “Pending”, “Confirmed”, or “Failed”.

4. If status remains “Pending” beyond expected confirmation time, verify whether the transaction was dropped due to low gas or incorrect network selection.

5. Deposits made to unsupported networks will not appear in your Bybit wallet and are irretrievable without Bybit support intervention — which does not guarantee recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I deposit USDT using a centralized exchange like Binance as the sender?A: Yes, but you must withdraw from Binance to the Bybit deposit address using the same network selected on Bybit — mismatched networks cause irreversible loss.

Q: Why does my USDT deposit show “Insufficient confirmations”?A: Each network enforces its own confirmation threshold; TRC-20 deposits often credit after one block, whereas ERC-20 requires more. Wait until the required confirmations are met before expecting balance updates.

Q: Is there a minimum USDT deposit amount on Bybit?A: Yes — minimums vary by network. For TRC-20 it is 1.0 USDT, for ERC-20 it is 0.01 USDT, and for BEP-20 it is 1.0 USDT. Deposits below these amounts will not be credited.

Q: What happens if I send USDT to the wrong Bybit deposit address?A: If the address belongs to your own Bybit account but corresponds to a different asset (e.g., BTC address), the funds will be lost permanently. Bybit cannot recover assets sent to invalid or mismatched addresses.
