Crypto.com Margin Trading Rules: A Comprehensive Guide
Margin trading is a powerful but potentially risky tool that allows traders to amplify their potential profits by borrowing funds from a broker. On Crypto.com, margin trading is available for a wide range of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. However, before you start margin trading on Crypto.com, it's important to understand the rules and requirements.
Key Crypto.com Margin Trading Rules
Account RequirementsTo qualify for margin trading on Crypto.com, you must:
- Be a verified user
- Have a minimum account balance of $10,000
- Pass a risk assessment questionnaire
- Margin RatioThe margin ratio is the ratio of your borrowed funds to your account equity. On Crypto.com, the maximum margin ratio is 5:1, which means that you can borrow up to five times your account equity.
- Margin InterestMargin interest is the fee that you pay to borrow funds from Crypto.com. The interest rate varies depending on the cryptocurrency that you borrow, the loan term, and your account level.
- LiquidationIf the value of your collateral falls below a certain level, Crypto.com may liquidate your position to cover your losses. The liquidation price is the price at which your position will be liquidated.
- Margin CallsIf your margin ratio exceeds the maximum allowable level, Crypto.com will issue a margin call. You will then have a limited amount of time to deposit additional funds into your account or reduce your margin exposure.
