how to close position on mexc

To close a position on MEXC, log in to your account, select the appropriate market, enter trade parameters in the order form, review and submit your order, then monitor its status and receive confirmation upon its execution.

How to Close a Position on MEXC

1. Login to MEXC and Navigate to the Trading Page

  • Visit the MEXC website (https://www.mexc.com) and log in to your account.
  • Click on the "Trade" tab located in the top menu bar.

2. Select the Appropriate Market

  • In the trading interface, choose the market you want to close a position in from the list of available markets.
  • For example, to close a position in the BTC/USDT market, click on the "BTC/USDT" tab.

3. Open the Order Form

  • On the right side of the trading page, you will see the order form.
  • Click on the "Sell" or "Buy" button, depending on whether you want to close a short or long position, respectively.

4. Enter Trade Parameters

  • In the order form, specify the trade parameters as follows:

    • Quantity: Enter the amount of the asset you want to sell or buy to close your position.
    • Price: If desired, enter the limit price at which you want to execute the closing order.
  • Choose "Market" or "Limit" order type as per your preference.

5. Confirm and Place the Order

  • Review the order details carefully.
  • Click on the "Place Order" button to submit your closing order.

6. View Order Status

  • Your closing order will be placed in the order book.
  • You can track its status in the "My Orders" section of the trading page.

7. Order Execution

  • When the market price reaches your specified limit price (if you placed a limit order), your closing order will be executed.
  • You will be notified when the order is filled.

8. Settlement

  • Once your closing order is executed, your position will be closed.
  • The proceeds from the executed order will be credited to your MEXC account.
