How to Check the Next Funding Settlement for SOLUSDT on Bitget
Bitget settles SOLUSDT perpetual funding every 8 hours at 00:00/08:00/16:00 UTC—automatically, in real time, with deterministic countdowns, precise microsecond-accurate history, and no DST adjustments.
Oct 23, 2026 at 09:22 am
Understanding Funding Settlement Timing
1. Bitget calculates funding fees for perpetual contracts every 8 hours on the hour: at 00:00, 08:00, and 16:00 UTC.
2. The SOLUSDT perpetual contract follows this universal schedule regardless of regional time zones or user location.
3. Settlement occurs automatically—no manual action is required from traders holding open positions.
4. Each settlement triggers a transfer between long and short counterparties based on the sign and magnitude of the current funding rate.
5. The exact timestamp of the next settlement is deterministic and publicly visible via the platform’s real-time funding dashboard.
Locating the Next Settlement Timestamp in App
1. Launch the Bitget mobile application and log into your account.
2. Navigate to the Contract tab using the bottom navigation bar.
3. Tap the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of the contract trading interface.
4. Select Funding Rate from the dropdown menu.
5. Switch to the Real-time Funding Rate tab and locate the SOLUSDT pair; the countdown timer next to “Next Settlement” displays the precise remaining time until the upcoming event.
Interpreting the Countdown Display
1. The countdown shows hours, minutes, and seconds until the next scheduled funding event.
2. It updates dynamically in real time and reflects adjustments made due to system maintenance or network anomalies only if officially announced by Bitget.
3. A red or amber indicator may appear beside the timer when the interval drops below 15 minutes, signaling imminent settlement.
4. The displayed value corresponds directly to the UTC clock—not local device time—ensuring consistency across global users.
5. If the timer reads “00:00:00”, the settlement has just occurred and the counter resets immediately to the next 8-hour window.
Verifying Settlement History Post-Event
1. After settlement completes, users can confirm execution by checking the Funding Fee column in their position history or account statement.
2. Each entry includes a UTC timestamp aligned with one of the three daily settlement windows.
3. Negative values indicate receipt of funds (e.g., as a short holder when rate is negative); positive values indicate payment.
4. Funding amounts are calculated as position notional × funding rate × time fraction, and all figures are recorded with microsecond precision.
5. Historical records remain accessible for at least 90 days within the Bitget interface without requiring export or external tools.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does the funding settlement time change during daylight saving shifts?A: No. Bitget uses Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) exclusively for all funding events. Local time zone adjustments do not affect scheduling.
Q: Can I see the exact amount I will pay or receive before settlement?A: Yes. The real-time funding rate panel displays the current rate and estimated fee per $10,000 notional, updated every 30 seconds.
Q: Why does the countdown sometimes pause or jump backward?A: This occurs only during brief synchronization lags between client-side rendering and server timestamps. The backend schedule remains strictly fixed and unaffected.
Q: Is funding applied to isolated margin positions the same way as cross margin?A: Yes. Settlement mechanics are identical across margin modes. Only the source of fee deduction or credit differs—cross margin draws from the shared wallet balance, while isolated margin uses the designated position wallet.
