How to Check Bybit Bot PnL?
Bybit’s Bot Performance Dashboard shows real-time PnL, win rate, and trade metrics—net PnL deducts fees and funding costs, with FIFO-based accounting and CSV export support.

Accessing Bot Performance Dashboard
1. Log into your Bybit account via desktop web browser or the official mobile application.
2. Navigate to the Trading Bots section under the “Trade” or “Automated Trading” menu.
3. Select the specific bot instance you wish to evaluate — each bot displays a unique identifier and creation timestamp.
4. Click on the bot’s name or the “Details” button to open its dedicated performance interface.
5. The dashboard renders real-time metrics including total PnL, win rate, number of closed orders, and average holding time.
Understanding PnL Calculation Logic
1. Bybit computes bot PnL in the base currency of the trading pair — for BTC/USDT bots, PnL appears in USDT; for ETH/USD bots, it reflects in USD.
2. Realized PnL includes only closed positions — entries and exits executed by the bot with confirmed fills and settlement.
3. Unrealized PnL is excluded from the main summary view unless the bot holds open positions; those values appear separately under “Active Positions”.
4. Fees are automatically deducted from gross PnL — both taker and maker fees apply depending on order execution type.
5. Funding fees for perpetual contracts are included in net PnL if the bot operates on inverse or linear perpetual markets.
Exporting Historical Bot Data
1. Within the bot details page, locate the “Export” icon — typically represented by a downward arrow or CSV symbol.
2. Choose date range using the calendar picker — minimum selectable span is one day, maximum is 90 days.
3. Select export format: CSV is default; supports Excel-compatible parsing with columns for timestamp, side, size, entry price, exit price, PnL, and fee.
4. Initiate download — file saves locally without requiring additional authentication or email confirmation.
5. Open exported data in spreadsheet software to calculate compound return, drawdown, or Sharpe ratio manually.
Interpreting Key PnL Metrics
1. Gross PnL reflects total profit before fees — useful for assessing strategy signal accuracy independent of cost structure.
2. Net PnL is the final bottom-line figure after deducting all transaction and funding costs — this value determines actual equity change.
3. PnL per Trade averages net gain or loss across all completed executions — reveals consistency versus outlier-driven results.
4. Cumulative PnL Curve plots equity evolution over time — sharp drops may indicate slippage during volatility or adverse liquidation events.
5. Win Rate % counts profitable trades as a percentage of total closed trades — high win rate alone does not guarantee profitability if losers outweigh winners in magnitude.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Does Bybit bot PnL include leverage impact?Yes. Leverage multiplies both gains and losses proportionally. The PnL calculation applies position size scaled by selected leverage level at entry time.
Q2: Why does my bot show zero PnL even after multiple trades? This occurs when trades remain open or when position size is zero due to partial closures. Check “Active Positions” tab for pending exposure.
Q3: Can I view PnL segmented by trading pair or time zone?Bybit does not offer native segmentation by time zone. Pair-level PnL is visible only when managing bots per symbol — cross-pair aggregation requires manual CSV consolidation.
Q4: Is PnL calculated on a FIFO or average cost basis?Bybit uses FIFO (First In, First Out) for position accounting in spot and futures bots — each closing order settles against the earliest unmatched opening order.
