How to Check Your Binance Copy Trading Positions?

To view active copied positions on Binance, log in, go to Trade → Copy Trading → Positions tab, ensure KYC Level 2 is completed, and check for real-time PnL updates every 3–5 seconds.

Accessing the Copy Trading Dashboard

1. Log in to your Binance account using verified credentials and two-factor authentication.

2. Navigate to the Trade section from the top navigation bar, then select Copy Trading from the dropdown menu.

3. Ensure you are on the Positions tab—not the Leaders or History tabs—since only this tab displays active copied positions.

4. Confirm that your account has completed KYC Level 2 verification, as access to real-time position data is restricted without it.

5. Observe the loading indicator; if positions do not appear within five seconds, check your network connection or refresh the page manually.

Understanding Position Data Fields

1. Each row represents a single copied position with columns for Leader Name, Symbol, Side, Entry Price, Current Price, and PnL.

2. The Status column indicates whether the position is Open, Closed, or Liquidated—liquidated entries show red text and zero remaining quantity.

3. Hover over the PnL value to reveal both percentage change and absolute USDT amount, updated every 3–5 seconds in real time.

4. The Leverage field reflects the leader’s original leverage setting at entry—not your personal margin level—and cannot be adjusted post-copy.

5. A lock icon next to the Symbol denotes positions opened under isolated margin mode; unlocked symbols indicate cross-margin allocation.

Filtering and Sorting Options

1. Use the search bar above the table to filter by leader username or trading pair, such as “BTCUSDT” or “BybitBull”.

2. Click any column header—e.g., PnL % or Entry Time—to sort ascending or descending; a small arrow appears beside the active sort key.

3. Apply the status filter dropdown to isolate only Open positions, excluding historical or settled records.

4. Toggle the Show Closed Positions switch to view recently closed trades within the last 24 hours—this does not include positions closed more than one day ago.

5. Adjust the Time Range selector to narrow visibility to positions opened in the last hour, 24 hours, or 7 days.

Managing Multiple Accounts and Devices

1. Positions synced across devices reflect the same state only when logged into the exact same Binance UID—not sub-accounts or API-linked wallets.

2. If using Binance Web and Binance App simultaneously, position updates may lag up to 8 seconds on mobile due to background app throttling.

3. Sub-account users must access copy trading separately under their individual sub-account dashboard; main account permissions do not cascade.

4. API keys with trading read permission can retrieve position data via the /fapi/v2/positionRisk endpoint, but only for futures copy positions—not spot copy trades.

5. Browser extensions like ad blockers or script injectors may interfere with WebSocket connections; disabling them restores live price sync.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why does my PnL show NaN or dashes instead of numbers?A: This occurs when the underlying contract is temporarily delisted or when the leader’s position has been forcibly closed by risk engine—refresh the page or wait up to 60 seconds for reconciliation.

Q: Can I close a copied position manually before the leader does?A: Yes—click the three-dot menu next to the position row and select Close Position; this action executes immediately at market price and incurs standard taker fees.

Q: Are copied positions visible in my Futures Wallet balance breakdown?A: Yes—they appear under Position Margin and Unrealized PnL sections, but not in the Spot Wallet summary.

Q: Does changing my stop-loss settings affect the leader’s original order?A: No—your personal stop-loss or take-profit orders are independent and fully editable without impacting the leader’s strategy or execution flow.
