How to Calculate Binance Spot Trading Fees?

Binance现货交易手续费依30日交易量与BNB持仓分层,VIP 0起始taker费0.10%,持BNB可享25%折扣,且仅Spot钱包内BNB有效。(155字)

Fee Structure Overview

1. Binance spot trading fees are determined by two primary variables: the user’s 30-day trading volume and their current BNB balance.

2. The fee schedule operates on a tiered model, where higher trading volumes and larger BNB holdings reduce both maker and taker fees.

3. Maker orders—those that add liquidity to the order book—receive lower fees than taker orders, which remove liquidity immediately upon execution.

4. Users who pay fees using BNB enjoy an additional 25% discount on their base rate, applied automatically at settlement.

5. VIP levels range from 0 to 9, with each level corresponding to specific volume thresholds denominated in BTC or BUSD, and minimum BNB balances required for eligibility.

Volume-Based Tier Determination

1. Trading volume is calculated across all spot pairs over the preceding 30 calendar days, aggregated in BTC-equivalent value.

2. Binance converts all executed trades into BTC using the price at time of trade, then sums them to determine total volume.

3. Volume thresholds reset daily; no retroactive adjustments occur if a user drops below a tier mid-cycle.

4. Futures or margin trading volumes do not contribute to spot fee tier calculations—only spot market executions count.

5. Users may view their real-time tier status and volume accumulation via the “Fee Discount” section under Account Settings.

BNB Balance Requirements

1. Holding BNB qualifies users for both tier upgrades and the 25% fee discount, but the required amount varies per VIP level.

2. BNB must be held in the user’s Spot Wallet—not Margin, Futures, or Funding wallets—to qualify.

3. The system checks BNB balance once per day at 00:00 UTC; fluctuations during the day do not trigger immediate tier changes.

4. If a user meets both volume and BNB criteria simultaneously, the higher VIP level applies without delay.

5. Staking BNB in Launchpool or Locked Staking does not count toward the balance requirement—the tokens must remain freely available in the Spot Wallet.

Fee Calculation Mechanics

1. Base taker fee starts at 0.10% for VIP 0 users with less than 1 BTC in 30-day volume and zero BNB.

2. A user with 50 BTC volume and 500 BNB in Spot Wallet qualifies for VIP 2, resulting in a taker fee of 0.080% and maker fee of 0.020%.

3. When paying with BNB, the 0.080% becomes 0.060% (25% of 0.080% subtracted), applied before order execution confirmation.

4. Fee amounts are calculated on the executed trade value—not the order size—and rounded to eight decimal places in the quote asset.

5. Partial fills generate proportional fees for each fill segment, recalculated individually based on the price and size at that moment.

Common Questions & Answers

Q1: Do referral rebates affect my fee tier? No. Referral fee rebates are distributed post-trade as credits and do not influence volume calculation or VIP level assignment.

Q2: Can I use BNB from my Funding Wallet to qualify for the discount? No. Only BNB held in the Spot Wallet is recognized for both tier eligibility and the 25% discount mechanism.

Q3: What happens if my 30-day volume crosses a tier threshold at 23:59 UTC?The system updates tiers at 00:00 UTC daily. A threshold crossing at 23:59 UTC will be reflected in the next day’s fee application.

Q4: Are OTC desk trades included in the 30-day volume count? No. OTC transactions executed outside the public order book are excluded from spot volume aggregation entirely.
