How to Use Bybit P2P Trading? (Zero Fees Buy/Sell)
Bybit’s P2P trading offers zero-fee crypto/fiat exchanges with escrow protection, KYC-secured transactions, and real-time ad matching—no commissions, but third-party fees may apply.
Mar 22, 2026 at 12:59 am
Understanding Bybit P2P Trading Interface
1. Access the Bybit website or open the mobile application and log into your verified account.
2. Navigate to the “Trade” section and select “P2P Trading” from the dropdown menu or main navigation bar.
3. Choose your preferred fiat currency and cryptocurrency pair—common options include USDT, BTC, ETH against USD, EUR, or local currencies like IDR or VND.
4. The interface displays active advertisements from other users, sorted by price, limits, and payment method reliability.
5. Each ad shows the seller’s or buyer’s rating, trade volume, response time, and accepted payment channels such as bank transfer, PayPal, or e-wallets.
Initiating a Zero-Fee Buy Transaction
1. Click on an advertisement offering USDT at a competitive rate with favorable terms.
2. Enter the amount of fiat you wish to spend; the system calculates the corresponding crypto quantity instantly.
3. Confirm the order and proceed to the escrow page where funds are locked securely by Bybit until both parties complete their obligations.
4. Transfer the agreed fiat amount to the seller’s provided bank details or digital wallet within the specified time window.
5. Mark the payment as completed in the interface; the seller then releases the USDT from escrow to your Bybit wallet.
Selling Crypto Without Commission Charges
1. Create a new sell advertisement specifying your desired price, minimum and maximum transaction limits, and supported payment methods.
2. Set clear instructions for buyers regarding bank name, account number, and required reference notes to avoid delays.
3. Once a buyer places an order, the equivalent crypto is reserved in your wallet and held in escrow automatically.
4. After receiving the fiat payment confirmation from the buyer, manually confirm receipt in the P2P dashboard.
5. Bybit releases the crypto to the buyer immediately upon your confirmation—no intermediary fees apply at any stage.
Security Protocols and Verification Requirements
1. Complete KYC Level 2 verification to access higher trading limits and unlock all P2P features.
2. Enable Google Authenticator and SMS two-factor authentication before initiating any trade.
3. Never share personal banking credentials outside the official Bybit chat window; all communication must remain on-platform.
4. Review each counterparty’s feedback history—including dispute resolution rate and average response latency—before accepting or placing orders.
5. Report suspicious behavior or unresponsive traders directly through the “Report User” button inside the P2P chat interface.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there any hidden cost when using Bybit P2P even though it advertises zero fees?Bybit does not charge commissions on P2P trades. However, third-party payment providers or banks may impose transfer fees depending on jurisdiction and method used.
Q: Can I cancel a P2P order after payment has been sent? No. Once fiat is transferred and marked as paid, cancellation requires mutual agreement between both users. Bybit support cannot reverse confirmed transactions.
Q: Why is my advertisement not appearing in search results?Ads may be suppressed due to incomplete profile verification, pricing significantly above or below market rate, or failure to meet minimum trade volume thresholds set by Bybit’s algorithm.
Q: What happens if the buyer fails to send payment within the time limit? The order expires automatically. Escrowed crypto returns to your wallet, and the buyer receives a penalty affecting their reputation score on the platform.
