Leverage allows traders to amplify their gains by borrowing funds to increase their position size. However, this borrowed capital comes with an associated interest rate. The leverage interest rate is the cost of using borrowed funds to trade on margin.
BingX Leverage Interest RatesBingX offers flexible leverage options ranging from 1x to 100x for various trading pairs. The leverage interest rate varies depending on the leverage level and the duration of the position.
Calculating Leverage Interest RatesTo calculate the leverage interest rate, we use the following formula:
Interest = (Principal * Interest Rate * Time) / 365Where:- Principal = Amount borrowed (calculated as notional value / leverage)
- Interest Rate = Annual percentage interest rate
- Time = Duration of the position (in days)
Below is a table outlining the leverage interest rates for different leverage levels on BingX:
| Leverage Level | Annualized Interest Rate | Daily Interest Rate |
|---|---|---|
| 1x to 5x | 0% | 0% |
| 10x to 20x | 0.003% | 0.0000822% |
| 30x to 50x | 0.005% | 0.000137% |
| 60x to 75x | 0.007% | 0.000192% |
| 80x to 100x | 0.01% | 0.000274% |
- Market Conditions: High volatility or uncertainty can lead to higher leverage interest rates.
- Margin Utilization: Borrowing a large portion of available margin may result in higher interest rates.
- Position Duration: Longer positions typically incur higher interest charges.
Let's assume you trade a Bitcoin contract with a notional value of $10,000 using 10x leverage. The duration of your position is 5 days.
- Principal = $10,000 / 10 = $1,000
- Interest Rate = 0.003% / 365 = 0.00000822% (daily)
- Time = 5 days
Interest = ($1,000 * 0.00000822% * 5) / 365 = $0.011
Additional Factors to Consider:- BingX offers a minimum interest charge of 0.0005 BTC.
- Interest charges are calculated every 8 hours and deducted from the margin account.
- Overnight positions held after 12:00 AM UTC incur an additional 10% interest.
