How to Add KuCoin to Google Authenticator

Step 1: Install Google Authenticator

Download the Google Authenticator app on your iOS or Android device.

Step 2: Open KuCoin and Enable 2FA

Go to the KuCoin website and log in to your account.
Hover over "Account" and select "Security Center."
Click on "Enable 2FA."

Step 3: Scan the QR Code

Select "Google Authenticator" from the available 2FA methods.
Open your Google Authenticator app and tap the "+" icon to add a new account.
Scan the QR code displayed on the KuCoin website using your camera app.

Step 4: Enter Confirmation Code

The app will generate a 6-digit confirmation code.
Enter this code in the corresponding field on the KuCoin website and click "Confirm."

Step 5: Backup Recovery Codes

KuCoin will provide you with a list of recovery codes.
Save these codes safely and securely, as they are essential for regaining access to your account in case you lose your device or forget your password.

Step 6: Enable Authenticator

Once you have successfully scanned the QR code and entered the confirmation code, click "Enable Authenticator" to activate 2FA for your KuCoin account.

Step 7: Test 2FA

After enabling 2FA, KuCoin will ask you to enter a verification code from the Google Authenticator app.
Open the app and generate a new code.
Enter the code in the field provided on the KuCoin website.
If the code is correct, the 2FA setup will be confirmed.
