How to Add Dogecoin (DOGE) to MetaMask

Step 1: Install MetaMask

  • Visit the MetaMask website (https://metamask.io/).
  • Click "Download" and install the appropriate extension for your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave).
  • Create a new MetaMask account or import an existing one.

Step 2: Set Up Dogecoin on Custom RPC Network

  • Open MetaMask and click on "Settings."
  • Scroll down to "Networks" and click on "Add Network."
  • Enter the following details for the Dogecoin network:

    • Network Name: Dogecoin Mainnet
    • RPC URL: https://dogecoin.infura.io/v3/
    • Chain ID: 100,51
    • Symbol: DOGE
    • Block Explorer URL: https://dogechain.info/
  • Click "Save."

Step 3: Import Dogecoin Account

  • If you have existing Dogecoin funds in a wallet, you can import the private key into MetaMask.
  • Go to "Import Account" under "Settings" in MetaMask.
  • Enter your Dogecoin private key and click "Import."

Step 4: Send Dogecoin to MetaMask

  • Share the Dogecoin wallet address provided by MetaMask with the sender of the funds.
  • Once the Dogecoin is received, it will appear in your MetaMask balance.

Note:

  • The option to add Dogecoin to MetaMask using the default settings is not available. You need to set up a custom network for it.
  • Make sure you double-check the network and chain ID settings to ensure you are interacting with the Dogecoin network.
  • Always keep your private keys secure and do not share them with anyone.
