How to Open a Contract Account on Bitget

Bitget is a leading cryptocurrency exchange that offers a wide range of trading products, including spot, futures, and options. To trade futures or options on Bitget, you will need to open a contract account.

Step 1: Create a Bitget AccountIf you do not already have a Bitget account:
  • Visit the Bitget website and click on "Sign Up."
  • Enter your email address and create a password.
  • Complete the CAPTCHA and click on "Sign Up."
  • Check your email for a verification link and click on it to activate your account.
Step 2: Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA is a security measure that adds an extra layer of protection to your account. It requires you to enter a six-digit code, generated by a mobile app, when you log in to your account or withdraw funds.

  • To enable 2FA, log in to your Bitget account and click on "Security Center."
  • Click on "Google Authentication" and follow the instructions to set up 2FA.
Step 3: Set Up Your Contract Account
  • Once you have enabled 2FA, navigate to the "Contract" page on Bitget.
  • Click on "Open Contract Account."
  • Read the terms and conditions carefully and check the box to indicate that you have read and agree to them.
  • Click on "Open Contract Account."
  • Your contract account will be created immediately.
Step 4: Fund Your Contract Account

Before you can start trading futures or options, you will need to fund your contract account. You can do this by transferring funds from your spot account or by depositing crypto assets directly into your contract account.

  • To transfer funds from your spot account, log in to your Bitget account and click on "Transfer."
  • Select "Spot Account" as the source account and "Contract Account" as the destination account.
  • Enter the amount of funds you wish to transfer and click on "Confirm."
Step 5: Start Trading Futures or Options

Once your contract account is funded, you can start trading futures or options. To trade futures, navigate to the "Futures" page on Bitget. To trade options, navigate to the "Options" page.

  • Select the trading pair you wish to trade.
  • Choose the type of order you wish to place.
  • Enter the order details, such as the quantity and price.
  • Click on "Place Order" to submit your order.

  • Make sure to enable 2FA to enhance the security of your account.
  • Choose a strong password and keep it secret.
  • Do not share your account details with anyone.
