How to Close BitFlyer Contract Trading

Contract trading, also known as futures trading, is a type of financial trading where traders can speculate on the future price of an underlying asset, such as a cryptocurrency. BitFlyer, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in Japan, offers contract trading for a variety of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Litecoin (LTC).

Closing a contract trading position involves selling the futures contract you bought to open the position or buying back the futures contract you sold to open the position. The specific steps to close a BitFlyer contract trading position vary depending on whether you are closing a long position or a short position.

Steps to Close a Long Position

  1. Log in to your BitFlyer account. You can do this by visiting the BitFlyer website and clicking on the "Log in" button in the top right corner of the page.
  2. Go to the "Contracts" tab. This tab is located in the top menu bar of the BitFlyer website.
  3. Select the contract you want to close. You will see a list of all the contracts that you have open in the "Contracts" tab.
  4. Click on the "Close" button. The "Close" button is located in the right-hand column of the table.
  5. Confirm the close order. You will be asked to confirm the close order before it is executed.
  6. The contract trading position will be closed. Once the close order is executed, the contract trading position will be closed and the funds from the position will be credited to your BitFlyer account.
