CME Group : Tops the list of futures exchanges in Chicago, providing institutional-level Bitcoin and Ether futures. Despite its limited access to retail investors, it ensures its leading position in the industry with a $1.4 trillion crypto transaction volume and high regulatory standards in 2024.
Coinbase : As the world's largest Bitcoin custodian, holding 2.4 million bitcoins with a total value of US$245 billion, it has a strong influence in retail transactions, is known for its security and compliance, and is regulated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). However, the recent registration in Bermuda suggests that it may expand to offshore derivatives trading.
Bitstamp : This is an old Luxembourg-based exchange with a strong operating base in the European market. It is known for its stable platform and reliability. It mainly provides spot trading and institutional services and is regulated by the EU.
Binance : As one of the world's largest trading exchanges, it supports more than 500 cryptocurrencies and provides a variety of trading services, including spot, futures, options and leveraged trading.
