What is the Bitcoin inscription? What inscriptions can be used for Bitcoin?
比特币铭文通过Ordinals协议将数据存储在“聪”上,支持NFT和代币发行,如ORDI、SATS等BRC-20代币。

Here is a detailed introduction to the Bitcoin inscription:
Definition and Principles
Bitcoin inscriptions use the characteristics of additional data during Bitcoin transactions to record information along with Bitcoin transfer to the blockchain. For example, the Ordinals protocol numbers the smallest unit of Bitcoin "Song", making each "Song" unique, and can store data on "Song", such as text, pictures, audio and video, etc., and these stored data are inscriptions.
Related Agreements
- Ordinals protocol: is the basic protocol for Bitcoin inscriptions, which numbers "Suang" and allows data to be engraved on it, providing the possibility of NFTs and token issuance on the Bitcoin network.
- BRC-20 protocol: Created based on the Ordinals protocol, it is an experimental format standard for issuing homogeneous tokens on the Bitcoin network. It stipulates json data packets in a specific format and is engraved on Bitcoin through the Ordinals protocol, promoting the issuance and transaction of tokens in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
- Other protocols: such as the Atomicals protocol, which is based on Bitcoin UTXO for minting and dissemination, defines the ARC-20 token standard; and the Runes protocol, which is designed to solve some problems of BRC-20, such as dust attacks.
Common Bitcoin Inscription Tokens
- ORDI: It is the first and most valuable BRC-20 token on BTC, setting a precedent for Bitcoin inscription tokens.
- SATS: The ninth inscription token on the Brc-20 protocol, the same name as the smallest unit of Bitcoin, will serve as the Gas and trading pair of the L2 brc20-swap launched by Unisat.
- RATS: Animal coins created based on the BRC-20 protocol, belong to the leading token of the zoo concept Meme, with a total of 1 trillion coins.
- FRAM: BRC-20's meme token, created through the Ordinal protocol, allows users to deploy token contracts, issue and transfer homogeneous tokens on the Bitcoin network.
In addition to the above tokens, there are also many tokens based on Bitcoin inscriptions such as TRAC, CORE, 1CAT, BTCS, PEPEBRC, and MICE, as well as NFT-based digital assets such as Bitcoin Frog.
