What is QTUM? What can QTUM do? How to store QTUM?
Qtum consolidates Bitcoin's security and Ethereum's programmability, enabling the development of scalable, secure decentralized applications.

What is QTUM?
Qtum is an open-source blockchain platform that combines the best features of Bitcoin and Ethereum. It was launched in 2017 and is designed to provide a scalable, secure, and user-friendly platform for developing and deploying decentralized applications.
Qtum has a two-layer architecture, with a proof-of-stake consensus layer and an application layer that runs on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This allows Qtum to leverage the security and stability of Bitcoin, while also providing the flexibility and programmability of Ethereum.
What can QTUM do?
Qtum can be used to develop a wide variety of decentralized applications, including:
- Smart contracts
- Decentralized finance (DeFi) applications
- Non-fungible tokens (NFTs)
- Supply chain management applications
- Voting systems
Qtum is also well-suited for developing enterprise blockchain solutions. Its high scalability and security make it an ideal platform for businesses looking to implement blockchain technology into their operations.
How to store QTUM?
There are a number of different ways to store QTUM, including:
- Software wallets: These wallets are installed on your computer or mobile device and allow you to store, send, and receive QTUM.
- Hardware wallets: These wallets are physical devices that store your QTUM offline, providing an extra layer of security.
- Exchange wallets: These wallets are hosted by cryptocurrency exchanges and allow you to store, trade, and sell QTUM.
When choosing a wallet, it is important to consider your individual needs and security requirements.
