What is LUNC Coin?

Definition:
Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) is the native cryptocurrency of the Terra Classic blockchain, a decentralized network previously known as the Terra blockchain.

Background:
Terra Classic was created in 2018 as part of the Terra ecosystem, which consisted of Terra (LUNA) and TerraUSD (UST), an algorithmic stablecoin pegged to the US dollar.

Terra Collapse and LUNC Rebranding:
In May 2022, UST lost its peg to the dollar, leading to a collapse of the Terra blockchain. The original LUNA coin was renamed Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) while a new Terra blockchain was launched under the name Terra 2.0 with a redesigned LUNA token.
