What is the Issue Volume of LEO Coins?
LEO coins are the utility tokens of the Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange. They were launched in May 2019 with a total supply of 1 billion tokens, out of which roughly 65% were distributed to Bitfinex users as part of an airdrop.
Applications of LEO Coins
LEO coins offer a range of benefits and applications within the Bitfinex ecosystem, including:
1. Trading Fee Discounts:
Holders of LEO coins receive discounts on trading fees on the Bitfinex exchange, ranging from 0.01% to 0.2% depending on the amount of LEO tokens they possess.
2. Margin Financing:
LEO coins can be used as collateral for margin trading on Bitfinex. This allows users to borrow funds for leveraged trading, potentially increasing their returns.
3. Staking:
LEO coins can be staked on the Bitfinex platform to earn rewards in the form of additional LEO tokens. The staking rewards are paid out every month and vary depending on the amount of LEO tokens staked and the duration of the lock-up period.
4. Voting Rights:
LEO coin holders have the right to participate in decision-making processes that affect the Bitfinex platform and products. They can vote on proposed changes, new features, and other initiatives related to Bitfinex's ecosystem.
5. Exchange Fees:
In addition to trading fee discounts, LEO coins can also be used to pay for fees such as deposit and withdrawal charges on the Bitfinex exchange.
