1. KAS Coin Issuance

KAS coin is a digital currency issued by the Kaspa blockchain network.
It has a maximum supply of 1 billion coins.
The initial issuance of KAS coins began on February 28, 2023, with a total of 100 million coins released.
New KAS coins are issued through a process called mining, where miners contribute to the security and verification of transactions on the Kaspa blockchain.

2. KAS Coin Circulation

As of May 12, 2023, approximately 130 million KAS coins are in circulation.
The remaining 870 million coins will be gradually released through mining over time.
The total number of circulating KAS coins is expected to reach 1 billion by approximately 2051.

3. Distribution of KAS Coins

The initial issuance of KAS coins was distributed to:
- Early contributors to the Kaspa project
- Miners who participated in the launch
- The Kaspa Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports the development of the Kaspa ecosystem
Since the launch, KAS coins have been traded on cryptocurrency exchanges and are widely available to the public.
