What is the issuance and circulation of EOS coins?

EOS held its ICO from June 26 to July 1, 2017.
The ICO raised $4.2 billion, making it one of the largest ICOs ever at the time.
EOS tokens were sold for $0.50 each during the ICO.

2. Total Supply

The total supply of EOS coins is 1,027,914,855.
This includes both tokens issued during the ICO and tokens created through inflation.

3. Inflation

EOS has a built-in inflation rate of 5% per year.
This inflation rate is used to reward block producers and incentivize participation in the EOS network.

4. Current Circulation

As of March 2023, the circulating supply of EOS coins is approximately 972 million.
This means that about 94.7% of the total EOS supply is currently in circulation.

5. Distribution

The distribution of EOS coins is as follows:
- Block producers: 7%
- EOS Foundation: 7%
- Angel investors: 7%
- Genesis token holders: 7%
- Public sale participants: 72%

6. Tokenomics

EOS tokens are used for the following purposes:
- Staking to vote for block producers
- Paying transaction fees on the EOS network
- Using various applications and services built on EOS

7. Market Performance

EOS is one of the top cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
Its price has fluctuated significantly since its ICO, reaching an all-time high of over $20 in early 2018.
As of March 2023, EOS is trading at around $1.20.
