Nov 16, 2024 at 03:28 pm
Astronaut (ASTR) is the native utility token of the Star Atlas. It operates on a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism within the Solana blockchain and powers the Star Atlas ecosystem, serving as the medium of exchange for in-game assets, rewards for contributing to the network, and governance rights. Acquiring ASTR coins can be achieved through various methods, including:
- Purchasing on Cryptocurrency Exchanges:
- ASTR coins can be bought on cryptocurrency exchanges that support the Solana blockchain, such as Binance, FTX, and Raydium.
- Create an account on a preferred exchange.
- Complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification, if required.
- Fund your exchange account using a supported payment method.
- Search for ASTR/USDT or ASTR/USDC trading pair.
- Place a buy order, specifying the desired amount of ASTR coins and price.
- Once the order is filled, the ASTR coins will be credited to your exchange account.
- Swapping on Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs):
- DEXs facilitate peer-to-peer token swaps without the need for intermediaries.
- Identify a DEX that lists ASTR, such as Orca or Serum.
- Connect your crypto wallet to the DEX.
- Search for the ASTR/SOL or ASTR/USDC trading pair.
- Specify the amount of ASTR coins you wish to acquire and the type of token you will use for the swap.
- Initiate the swap transaction and wait for confirmation.
- The ASTR coins will be transferred to your connected wallet.
- Staking in Atlas Wallets:
- Astronaut has launched Atlas wallets that enable users to stake ASTR coins and earn rewards.
- Download and install the Atlas wallet from the official website.
- Create an account and set up your wallet.
- Transfer ASTR coins to your Atlas wallet address.
- Navigate to the 'Staking' tab within the wallet.
- Select the preferred staking period and delegate your ASTR coins to a validator.
- Track your rewards and unstake your coins when the staking period expires.
- Participating in GameFi Activities:
- Star Atlas features GameFi elements where players can earn ASTR coins by participating in gameplay and contributing to the ecosystem.
- Explore in-game activities that offer rewards, such as completing missions, defeating enemies, and mining resources.
- Stake your ASTR coins to enhance your gameplay experience and increase earning potential.
- Earning from NFT Marketplace:
- Star Atlas has an NFT marketplace where users can trade in-game assets.
- Purchase NFT assets using ASTR coins and profit from their sale when the value appreciates.
- Create and sell your own NFTs within the marketplace using ASTR coins to earn income.
