The founder of Tron, Justin Sun, will be attending a gala dinner organized for the top TRUMP memecoin holders and hosted by US President Donald Trump.

Announcing his attendance at the May 22 event, Sun said he was invited by the TRUMP memecoin team and expressed gratitude and support for the US president.

“Honored to support POTUS and grateful for the invitation from the TRUMP team to attend President Trump’s Gala Dinner as his TOP fan,” he said in a May 20 post on X.

The TRUMP memecoin team had launched a competition to reward the top 220 token holders with access to the event. Of those, the largest 25 holders will gain entry to a private VIP reception with Trump himself.

Sun disclosed that he was the top-ranking holder, aligning with earlier speculation that he controls the HTX-linked wallet identified as “Sun.” He added:

Data from the TRUMP memecoin website showed that the “Sun” wallet had accumulated more than 1.4 million TRUMP tokens, valued at around $18 million, during the competition.
