Over the past few years, Scotland has become a major hub for Web3 and blockchain operations, with over 60 companies spread across the region's five major cities. However, this growing community has been largely disconnected from leading industry discussions and networking opportunities.

BlockStart is bringing Web3 conversations to the heart of Scotland. The event will attract over 600 blockchain enthusiasts and industry leaders, encouraging them to share insights on the latest trends and developments with the local community and businesses.

Joining Ferrum Network in sponsoring the BlockStart Web3 Summit are industry giants like Solana, BONK, and Zumo. Key speakers will include Dr Lisa Cameron, a former member of the UK Parliament and a leading policy maker in crypto. Also delivering a keynote speech will be Taha Abbasi, CTO of Ferrum Labs and a pioneering mind behind blockchain interoperability. Abbasi will be speaking on the topic of decentralization.

Specifically, Abbasi will be discussing how Bitcoin could be a solution to the increasing centralized corruption across global economies. This speech will be offering valuable insights to crypto enthusiasts and newcomers alike, especially during a time of economic challenges and inflation.

"Ferrum Labs is proud to support BlockStart, Scotland's first major Web3 event, through the Ferrum Network protocol,” said Taha Abbasi. “This conference is pivotal in connecting the Web3 community and sharing insights about decentralization. Ferrum Labs is dedicated to building infrastructure and providing resources to realize a decentralized, fair, and equitable world."

Over the past year, Ferrum Network has been the leading voice in blockchain operability. Their next-gen solution Quantum Portal allows different blockchain networks to seamlessly communicate and integrate functions. Being part of the BlockStart Web3 summit, the organization is hoping to address the most complex issues blockchain faces today and discuss possible solutions with Scotland's emerging Web3 startups.

Other notable key speakers for the event include Tom Wilkinson, the Scottish Government's chief data officer, and Robby Yung, the CEO of Animoca Brands. With such a heavyweight panel leading the discourse, attendees will be treated to exciting industry insights and regulatory developments.
