MicroStrategy co-founder Michael Saylor made a bold prediction at the Bitcoin 2024 conference, stating that BTC could be trading at $13 million per coin by 2045.

During his keynote speech on July 26, Saylor urged attendees to become “triple maxi” Bitcoin bulls, and said that the price could even reach $49 million in a bull case.

“It could be a $3 million bear case, it could be a $49 million bull case,” he said.

Saylor's prediction comes after he raised his previous estimate of $10 million in June. He also suggested a strategy for individuals, nations and corporations to maximize their BTC holdings.

“You finance the house for Bitcoin, you buy Bitcoin, you flip all your assets to Bitcoin, and then you move to a cheap tax jurisdiction where you actually can avoid some taxes and invest an extra fifty grand in Bitcoin,” Saylor said.

According to the MicroStrategy co-founder, this strategy would result in a net worth of around $214 million.

Saylor also highlighted the role of physical capital, stating that the rules of thermodynamics apply to all physical capital, including bonds, stocks, Ferraris, and real estate in Miami Beach.

“The value of these tangible things is being eroded by entropy. It's draining their energy and their capital,” he said.

He added that the Crown Estate in the United Kingdom has been in the hands of the Royal Family since 1066, but even under the best-case scenario, "physical assets might last 1,000 years, [but] probably about 50 to 75 years is the best you’re going to get."

“There’s a reason it’s called Earth and not Heaven,” Syalor concluded.

However, Saylor noted an exception to this rule: Bitcoin. According to him, cryptocurrency is "not in the physical world" and has "an infinite lifespan."

“Bitcoin is immortal, immutable, and immaterial, […] and it is the solution to our economic dilemma," he said.

MicroStrategy is one of the largest publicly traded Bitcoin holders in the world. As of June 20, it had 226,331 BTC, acquired at an average price of $36,798 per coin, for a total cost of nearly $8.33 billion.
