TheBroccoli token was created by the crypto community in honor of Changpeng Zhao’s (CZ) dog, Broccoli. On Feb. 13, Zhao posted his dog’s story, explaining how he was asking a zoo owner in Dubai about dog breeds that are adapted to the hot weather, only to receive a Belgian Malinois that same evening.

The meme coin went live about two days ago, on Feb. 17. While it did see quite strong price movements in the first 24 hours, the real surge came yesterday, when the token skyrocketed from $0.01727 to $0.07280 before correcting to a support at $0.035, and then surging again in the past several hours to its current price.

The token’s Relative Strength Index (RSI) blew up during yesterday’s surge, reaching the value of 88.01, heading deeply into the overbought zone. After the price peaked, however, traders took profit, resulting in the RSI dropping to the value of 40.
