When it comes to rare coins, Brits should always be checking their collection in case something valuable shows up. Recently, the "rarest" 50p coin with "skyrocketing" value hit headlines.

Now TikTok user @the.coin.seeker, who has a tidy following of over 2,000, recently dropped a bombshell about a £2 coin with not one but two minty mishaps.

In a viral video, they revealed this little error-embellished gem could net you £1,000 easy. The voiceover reveals: "There are two errors with the technology £2 coin.

The coin expert claims the Queen's head should be somewhere else and the date must be at the bottom of the coin. They claimed these two errors are "worth thousands of pounds".

The £2 technology coin, first minted in 1997, boasts a unique bi-metallic design – a first in the history of British coinage. The concentric circles design, crafted by Bruce Rushin, has been featured on £2 coins every year since its inception.
