Well, believe it or not, it turns out a 2011 Judo 50p coin recently sold for a whopping £10.50 on an online marketplace, which is over 20 times its face value. And get this, the buyer even had to pay an additional £2.20 for shipping!

So, what makes this particular coin so special? It's all about the limited mintage. The Royal Mint, which is responsible for producing British coins, hosted a competition for the public to design commemorative coins for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Out of a staggering 30,000 submissions, only 29 designs were selected, including the Judo design by David Cornell, a painter and sculptor.
