Tether’s CEO has recently hailed Bitcoin as the only truly decentralized cryptocurrency, highlighting its unique and consistent nature. The head of the largest stablecoin issuer maintained that Bitcoin’s status as the apex cryptocurrency is unlikely to be overtaken.

Speaking to reporters at the recently concluded Bitcoin-only conference in Prague, Ardoino stated that Bitcoin is “the only example of a currency that is only ruled by math that basically cannot be changed.” In contrast, other cryptocurrencies, out of the total 14,000, are centralized to varying degrees.

According to the Tether CEO, this unique feature has ensured Bitcoin’s leading market position amidst growing competition. Ardoino stated that such stability could not be replicated in the current cryptocurrency outlook.
