Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley has suggested that growing disillusionment with the 60/40 portfolio will benefit Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

"The 60/40 portfolio is dead. 57 months of a bond market drawdown has finally brought the 60/40 portfolio to its knees," the Bitwise CEO said, sharing a post by Bilello.

The post attributes the downfall of the 60/40 portfolio to persistent inflation and interest rates, which have pushed bond prices down. Data from Creative Planning indicates that the bond market has been in a drawdown since August 2020, about 57 months, its longest such spell on record.
