Binance Coin (BNB), the native token of the Binance exchange, has announced a live upgrade to its wallet network infrastructure. The upgrade is scheduled to commence at 08:00 UTC on March 27th.

The upgrade aims to enhance the network's performance, stability, and security. During the upgrade, Binance will temporarily suspend withdrawals and deposits to ensure a seamless transition.

BNB serves multiple functions within the Binance ecosystem. It reduces trading fees on the Binance exchange, enables transaction fees on the BNB Beacon Chain and BNB Smart Chain, and facilitates participation in token sales on Binance Launchpad.

Since the launch of the BNB Smart Chain in September 2020, BNB has adopted three forms:
