Australia has seen a 16-fold increase in the number of cryptocurrency ATMs in the past two years, with nowhere else in the world seeing the machines popping up more frequently, new data shows.

More than 1200 of the machines now occupy space across the country, according to a company which tracks and analyses crypto data, Coin ATM Radar.
