테더, EOS 및 알고랜드 블록체인에서 USDT 발행 중단

글로벌 암호화폐 시장에서 주목받는 업체인 테더(Tether)가 EOS와 알고랜드에서 USDT 토큰 발행을 중단했습니다.

Cryptocurrency platform, Tether, has announced that it will stop minting its token, USDT, on EOS and Algorand starting today, June 24, 2024.

암호화폐 플랫폼인 테더(Tether)는 2024년 6월 24일 오늘부터 EOS와 알고랜드에서 토큰 USDT 발행을 중단한다고 발표했습니다.

A statement from the platform, which was made available to Business Post, said the decision was taken to prioritise community-driven blockchain support.

Business Post에 공개된 플랫폼의 성명서는 커뮤니티 중심의 블록체인 지원을 우선시하기로 결정했다고 밝혔습니다.

However, it noted that it would continue to support the protocols and chains that the community finds useful.

그러나 커뮤니티가 유용하다고 생각하는 프로토콜과 체인을 계속 지원할 것이라고 언급했습니다.

The platform also urged the community to expand the use cases of USDt on every protocol.

“Tether will continue to redeem USD₮ on EOS and Algorand as usual for the next 12 months. Further changes may be evaluated and announced around that time,” a part of the notice read.

The statement further noted that Tether is committed to maintaining a robust and innovative blockchain ecosystem for USD₮ and all other tokens it issues.

The platform noted that it carefully evaluated the network’s security architecture to ensure the safety, usability, and sustainability of the chosen blockchain.
