Despite earlier statements from SuperGaming in 2022 that Indus would not be a Web3 game, recent rumors have suggested otherwise. During a live stream on June 6, 2024, the game’s development timeline was reportedly shared on SuperGaming’s Discord server. This timeline included milestones such as NFT drops and token launches, which appear to be planned for a future phase of the game’s evolution.

The rumors began circulating after a slide, which appeared to be from a live stream, was shared on social media. The slide outlined a timeline for Indus' development, including milestones such as the game's launch, a "Chain Partnership," a marketplace, and NFT drops. This led many to believe that SuperGaming was planning to integrate Web3 technology into Indus after all.

However, the developer has now addressed these rumors, clarifying that the circulating information did not stem from an official announcement but was instead a misinterpretation from a live session. The developer explained that the information being discussed was merely one of many tabs open during a live stream, not a formal declaration.

SuperGaming emphasized that while they are exploring various emerging technologies, including Web3, there are no current plans to incorporate such technology into Indus. They assured the community that any significant developments related to Indus would be communicated officially and transparently.
