In a masterstroke that would make any strategist proud, PayPal has made waves in the crypto industry with its stablecoin, PayPal USD (PYUSD). Back in August 2023, the payment giant unveiled this highly anticipated token, which is backed by U.S. dollar deposits and short-term Treasuries, thanks to a collaboration with Paxos Trust Company.

But PayPal didn't just test the waters. During Consensus 2024, the company made a huge announcement: PYUSD is coming to the Solana blockchain.
