Kite AI Launches the First AI-Focused Layer 1 Sovereign Blockchain Built on Avalanche

Kite AI, a decentralized AI infrastructure provider, announced the launch of its first AI-focused Layer 1 sovereign blockchain built on Avalanche, a 2020 launched Blockchain platform. Currently launched in its testnet stage, it made its public testnet live on Thursday, which is Stage 1: Aero. It is set to go through subsequent stages, viz., Ozone, Strato, Voyager and Lunar – the final launch embarking its complete transition to the mainnet.

The launch is intended for providing free, transparent mechanisms for data providers, AI models and autonomous agents developers. By using Avalanche’s high scalability and 4,500+ TPS rate (Transactions per second), it will be able to process Kite AI’s heavy AI workloads.

The launch also marks Kite AI’s entry into the Avalanche infraBUILD (AI) program, which aims to integrate Artificial Intelligence into the decentralised infrastructure and enhance Kite AI’s decentralised AI platform. The subnet customization that Avalanche launched last Dec via Avalanche900 upgrade will provide the scalability for KiteAI’s decentralised ecosystem.

As AI models and datasets require fast data processing and high computational powers, Avalanche’s sub-second finality and lower gas fees will help the developers. Its EVM compatibility will also allow Ethereum developers, ensuring their integration with existing AI-focused apps. Avalanche’s Proof-of-stake (PoS) will provide the required security to the datasets being shared by the contributors and developers.

The low cost of storing and processing will make it affordable for developers and enterprises to reap the benefits of Decentralized AI by Kite AI. However, its handling of large-scale workloads can check its limits.
