USD Coin ($USDC) issuer, Circle, has introduced the Circle Payments Network (CPN) with the aim of revolutionizing cross-border payments.

To be released in limited capacity in May 2025, the network, which connects financial institutions – banks, neo-banks, payment service providers, virtual asset service providers and digital wallets – enables real-time settlement of cross-border payments using regulated stablecoins, according to a press release.
