The annual Easter Egg Roll is a free, springtime event open to the public on the South Lawn of the White House. The event features interactive activities, live music and performances, food and beverages, and special appearances by members of the First Family.
This year's theme is "The Importance of Story." The Historical Association will be hosting an activity in the "Storytelling Tent" where guests can create their own family crests and learn about the history of heraldry.
The Easter Egg Roll is a longstanding tradition that dates back to the administration of President Rutherford B. Hayes in the 1870s. The event was canceled during World War I and resumed in 1978 by President Carter.
Tickets for the Historical Association's brunch are limited and expected to sell out quickly. To purchase tickets or learn more about the event, please visit here.
