According to a recent US Securities and Exchange (SEC) filing, ProShares has received approval to launch three new Ripple (XRP)-linked exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

ProShares will be launching three XRP futures-based ETFs on 30 April 2025. This comes weeks after the conclusion of Ripple’s long-standing legal battle with the SEC.

The three new funds that will track the XRP Index are –

* ProShares Ultra Short Term Triple Clear Rising Rate Futures

* ProShares Short Term Triple Clear Rising Rate Futures

* ProShares Triple Clear Rising Rate Futures

The new ETFs will invest in, and the economic performance of which will be linked to, total return swap contracts.

The sponsor, or DE minimum variance index, will serve as the index tracking the price of the futures contracts.

The Federal Reserve may increase interest rates this year, which could impact the performance of the ETFs.

The move comes as the SEC is currently reviewing applications for spot XRP ETFs from various asset managers.

Earlier this month, financial services company CME group announced the addition of XRP futures to its exchange set for launch next month.

Industry experts and crypto enthusiasts have expressed optimism after XRP futures lunch.

“The SEC just approved an XRP Futures ETF — the first major domino to fall. A Spot XRP ETF could be next, unlocking real demand and sending prices soaring. $100 billion+ could soon flood into XRP… stay ahead,” said Armando Pantoja, a crypto investor since 2011.
